Software

You can find a lot of my projects sources at git.derhammer.net. Whenever you want to use my software and the license is applicable to you, feel free to do so. I'd really appreciate if you could send me a report whenever you find a bug to bugs@michael-hammer.at.

My own Software projects

  • SOOFEA

Software for Object Oriented Finite Element Analysis. That's the software I am writting during my PhD.

  • lvbackup

A script to create LVM Backups.

  • sibling nav

Is a plugin for trac which provides a tree structured menu

  • textoolkit

Is a project which should enhance the usability of LaTeX especially for scientific issues.

  • thunderbird ldap

That's not really a software project. It's more an attempt to get a more usable LDAP integration for the thunderbird addressbook.

Programming

  • C++

Some tips and tricks if collected during my c++ programming activities can be found here.

Software projects I like / use (but I am not activly working on)

  • Gentoo

My linux distribution of choice. I have been developer for gentoo but had to retire because of not having enough time for active delopment.

  • Debian

  • Git

My favorite distributed (is there even another type of?) version control system.

  • grml

A distribution I am personally connected to due to my friendship with Mika. It's the kind of distribution I use if something went wrong and I have to rescue my PCs or if I am forced to install a debian derivative.

  • IkiWiki

Is my favorite wiki compiler I am using for this homepage.

  • Kerberos: MIT Kerberos | Heimdal

Is a network authentication service I am using. It's an open standard (of course) and I am mainting a few ebuilds on Gentoo related to that topic.

  • OpenAFS

Is a distributed file system I am using in two self administrated cells.

  • Trac

The wiki and issue tracking system I am using if I try to manage some kind of developement project with mutliply participants.
